Durango Fire & Rescue is seeking proposals from qualified local contractors for the remodel of Fire Station 1.
⚠️ Please note: A mandatory pre-proposal meeting will be held in late July for all contractors interested in submitting a proposal. Attendance at this meeting is required to be eligible to submit a proposal. Additional meeting details will be provided within the Request for Proposals (RFP) documents.
Originally constructed in 1997, Station 1 was designed primarily to support volunteer firefighters. Over the past 29 years, our department has grown significantly, and the demands on this facility have evolved. Today, Station 1 serves as a full-time fire station, training space, and the home of our Fleet & Facilities maintenance operations.
As emergency response demands have evolved, this remodel project will help ensure the facility continues to meet the operational needs of the firefighters, EMTs, paramedics, and staff who serve our community.
Qualified contractors interested in submitting a proposal are encouraged to contact Fire Chief Randy Black to obtain the Request for Proposals (RFP) documents and additional project information.
